Do You Have a Website? You Can Help Us!
Does your church, school, business, or organization have a website? What about social media? If so, you can easily help us reach more women and save more babies from abortion.
Google is the first place women go when they get that positive pregnancy test and are considering abortion. However, we don’t want those facing crisis pregnancies to have to scroll far to find Birth Choice, because they will usually click on the first handful of websites that pop up. We want to be as visible and easy-to-find as possible. As part of our marketing efforts, it would be helpful for our client website URL, yourprivatechoice.net, to be shared on your website, newsletters, emails, and even social media. The more times our website URL is shared, the higher it will rank in search results. However, it is very important that you share our client website, not our donor website.
What is Backlinking?
When you search in Google, what determines the order of the web pages that are brought up? The answer is that Google uses algorithms to connect you with the content you most need. First, the content of the search needs to coincide with the content of the webpage. However, there is so much content on the internet that relevance is not the only factor. According to Google, “search algorithms look at many factors and signals, including the words of your query, relevance and usability of pages, expertise of sources, and your location and settings.” So, we are on a mission to tell Google that we’re a legitimate, reliable resource for people in our community.
One of the most effective ways for search engines to recognize a website as a reliable resource is if other web pages mention and link our website. This is called backlinking.
For example, if you would be willing to write in a paragraph on your website, “if you are a woman experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, please reach out to Birth Choice,” then that site association bolsters our domain authority by an order of magnitude far greater than the sum of the number of people who visit your website and our website. It costs no money. It’s just spreading the word that we are here to help people in our community experiencing unplanned pregnancies.
Thank you for helping us reach women in our area who are vulnerable to abortion. If you have any questions about backlinking or how to help, please contact Tiffany Dawson, our Director of Development, at 731-453-8159 or tiffany@birthchoice.us.
